Dear Friends,
A breastfeeding mother I am assisting will be moving with her husband and
four-week old, exclusively breastfed infant to Kobe, Japan within the next
month or two. Her husband's employer, using guidelines from the CDC, has
recommended the following immunizations for this woman:
polio
tetanus
hepatitis A
hepatitis B
typhoid
MMR
Japanese encephalitis
Using Tom Hale and Ruth Lawrence as resources, it seems that inactivated
polio, hepatitis B, and killed typhoid vaccines should be okay. Would anyone
have any information on the others??
Thank you,
Toni Pestro
