Is there a web site for the breastfeeding friendly hospital initiative? I am
interested in pushing it at the hospital I will be working in as breastfeeding
counselor. Has anyone been in the position of trying to transition a hospital
to bf friendly from the position of a lower level staff member? (I will be lay
lactation consultant, but they dont have ANY LC's through the week.) I heard
recently that there was only ONE bf friendly hospital in the US. Can this be
true? If so, it certainly disappointed me. Good luck to you, Dr.
Ahrendsen--and by the way, great web page on the benefits of bf!
