Hi everyone,
I will re-introduce myself quickly: I am an LLL Leader and IBCLC in Dayton Ohio. I love trying to keep up
with all the great info on Lactnet.
My husband and I went to see a new movie out at the smaller art theaters called The Sweet Hereafter. It
is a bit depressing, being about losing your children in various ways. One scene was so touching,
though, that I had to share it. A father is remembering his daugher at age three...the scene shows the
couple in bed with the daugher cuddled up to the mom. Then the father talks about how the daugher
woke up in pain from a spider bite and the scene changes to the mom actually nursing the three year old
daughter. It was so nice to see extended breastfeeding shown as a normal part of parenting an older
child!
