A mom showed me this product today, it's manufactured by
"cimex/Switzerland" and claims to: "improve the strength and quality of
the hair by oral administration". It is a "trichogenous vitamin
preparation to ensure healthy and full hair". In Spanish it is a
"preparado vitaminisado contra tricosis para asegurar un cabello sano y
bello".
The mom is taking it to stop her hair from falling out after her
pregnancy. Her baby boy is six weeks old. She says it is helping her
hair...the product was purchased in the Dominican Republic and is being
used here in the US. It cost approx. $30 for 90 capsules; it is
recommended that the user take 3 capsules per day. Here are the
ingredients:
Vitamin B 1 0.060 g
Calcium-D-Pantothenate 0.060g
Saccharomyces med. (=VIGAR-yeast) 0.100 g
L-Cystine 0.020 g
Keratin 0.020 g
Para-aminobenzoic Acid 0.020 g
Colour E132(indigotine)

Sounds like B vitamins, amino acids and protein? I don't know where the
keratin is derived from, is there a synthetic source?
Doesn't sound like a problem to me, does anyone know if these ingredients
are OK?(for lactation)
Thanks
