Judi,
I've just suggested to a very talented NYC artist, Carolyn Lindbom, that she
contact you regarding your need for an illustrator for the new edition of
Counseling the Nursing Mothers. When I read the Lactnet post, I immediately
thought of her. In my opinion, she'd be a perfect choice.
I'm sure she'll be happy to send you her resume, etc., so I'll share just a
few thoughts to introduce her. She has a piece permanently displayed in the
Museum of Natural History in NYC. She's taught at the Art Students' League
in NYC and other universities. Her work appears in numerous well-respected
collections world-wide and includes an abundant number of very tastefully
done nudes. As an IBCLC and art lover, I think Carolyn's gift for painting
nudes would be a definite asset to the new edition. I have two of her
paintings, both of which I treasure. I know her talents would enhance the
project beautifully. I've taken the liberty of forwarding your note to her,
after making a quick phone call to her this evening.
Looking forward to seeing you at the Scottsdale BSC conference next week,
