the Dutch bf rates are decreased dramatically....
at 3 months 16,9 % of the babies are breastfed.
Between 1975 and 1990 the bf rate increased from 11 to 32. After 1990 the
bf rate decreased to 16.9% now. The reason is the rapidly increased rate of
mothers who work outside the home. We only have 2 months maternity leave
postpartum.
this is very discouraging. We are working so hard!
