Dear Toni,
This is what the Center fo Disease Control and Information in Atlanta
says officially about immunizating breastfeeding mothers (Jan. 28, 1994):
"Breastfeeding and Vaccination - Neither killed nor live vaccines affect
the safety of breast-feeding for mothers or infants. Breast-feeding does
not adversely affect immunization and is not a contraindication for any
vaccine."
So if you are using the CDC as your resource, they don't seem to have any
problem with vaccinating nursing moms.
