The info on more severe cases from household contacts (sibs) vs casual
contacts (school) is in current Red Book.  We see concurrent strep in
throats often enough to routinely throat culture all kids who come to our
office with ch pox.  I will say tho that we are seeing a decrease in # of
chicken pox cases because we are pretty aggressive about giving varivax.
