I got this from another list......   Just a reminder to us all.....

I hope you all consider hospital confidentiality VERY
seriously when you send notes to the list.  The administration of
your hospitals may consider anything you say a breech of hospital
confidentiality.  In June one of the notes I sent to the list was
forwarded to our hospital administration and I received a first
and final warning for it.  I should have learned my lesson then,
but I guess I didn't.  I just received word that another e-mail
of mine has been brought to their attention and I may (very
possibly) get fired over it.
     Our hospital administration points out that e-mail can be
read by anyone and lists are frequented by lawyers looking for
business.  Since we note in our signatures where we are from or
where we practice just about anything we say can be considered a
breech of confidentiality.
     I have learned SO much from this list and really hate to see
the discussions stifled, but I would also hate to see anyone else
loose their job - so I would just like to warn you all to be
careful.  Even if I am able to keep my job I will probably not be
contributing to the list anymore.  I just can't take anymore
chances.  I will probably continue to "lurk" because of the
knowledge I've gotten on the list has made me a better nurse -
and the information I have shared with others at our hospital has
made them better nurses.
