Dear Lactnetters,
        I was asked today by a mom who is nursing a 13 1/2 mo. old to find out
what I can about the durg Avonex.  It is given once a week IM to help slow
the progress of Multiple Sclerosis.  Her MD wants to prescribe it, (her MS
symptoms are worsening) but says she must stop BF first. Neither she nor
her baby is ready to wean.  I tried Hale '97 and Briggs et al., but could
not find any reference by this name? Does anyone have any info on this
