Back in the dark ages when I worked in Mother-Infant Recovery, ( before and
during my pregnancy with my son, who is now 15 1/2), they were still giving
Demerol in labor.  At that time, I observed that the "Demerol babies" were the
only ones that sometimes didn't latch on and suck well even in the first hour.
