Marsha,
I haven't seen any response to this on Lactnet, and am interested
in info that you receive.
Is the baby growing in length, is there developmental slowness,
Do they really have Pediatric Psychologists that specialize in
eating disorders in a one year old? WOW
How big are his parents (he could be in the 5th percentile
because of genetics, small parents)?
My children seemed to gain well in the first six months, then
basically gained no more weight until 1 1/2 - 2 years old. They
were growing in length during this time, but not weight. My
youngest would only take breastmilk, almost exclusively (meaning
she'd eat a cheerio now and then), until she was over 1. I
didn't realize this was something to be concerned about as long
as she was growing in length and developing in other ways.
Neither did my Dr.
There must be more going on with this baby to cause this
concern. Please update us on this.
Thanks, Linda
