I am so glad that this came up now.  This morning I am going to see a
mother who could probably benefit greatly from this technique.  My
hesitation about suggesting it comes from the general prohibition of
"baths" in the immediate post-partum period.  How do you tell a mother to
get into a tub of warm water when her OB has said "no baths."  Since I
have not read the article I do not know if this question is addressed in
it or not.
