I know that in the past on this list there have been discussions
that involved finding new ways of refering to things like artificial
baby milk.  I think that we should look at the meaning of extended
breastfeeding.  If the WHO is recommending one to two years of
breastfeeding then, in my opinion, it is not extended breastfeeding
if the child is under the age of 2.  My daughter is 14 months old.
I am sad that so few other babies of her age are still being
breastfed but I do not consider that I am doing extended
breastfeeding.  A breastfeeding toddler who is 14 months or 19
months etc.  is normal breastfeeding not extended breastfeeding.
Just something to think about.
