I, too, read The Vital Touch last fall, and I think it is wonderful. I
wrote to Sharon Heller to tell her so, and got a wonderful Christmas card
back. I think it should be required reading for every medical person,
including psychologists, social workers, and counselors of all sorts
because it truly gets to the heart of the matter, what babies really need.
Besides being supportive of breastfeeding, it is supportive of attachment
parenting and the critical importance of holding and touching our babies.
