I agree with Patrcia, that Susan's book is not a breastfeeding book.  But I
will also come to her defense that she is pro-breastfeeding.  She will tell a
mom not to wean for a mamogram or most surgeries and recommend postponding
treatment untill a mom is ready for weaning.  I like her book for breast
related issues, not breastfeeding ones.  There are many great references for
that category.
A role LC's can have is to find a surgeon who is breastfeeding friendly and
help educate them.  We need them and it would be nice for them to feel they
need us too.
