a short front page article stating, "Abrams', Abner Eyewink says he has
learned Lena Village officials are considering an ordinance banning
breast
feeding in public.  It is viewed as inappropriate by many village
residents
who claim the practice has become much too common in recent weeks.  if
approved, strict enforcement is anticipated with jail terms possible for

offenders."

If I can find out the date, time and place that the town meeting is
going to
take place we will perhaps organize a "nurse-in".  Letters to the editor
of
the newspaper would be helpful or phone calls from constituents of Lena
township to the town board members would also be in order.

Wisconsin Assembly Bill 154 of 1995 exempts mothers breastfeeding of a
child
from various criminal statutes.
