I re-read the article, and although it is very close to what I read from
the abstracts in these studies.   It does say at the end that calcium
supps. aren't needed, but the author contradicts him/herself earlier on by
saying calcium supps. are needed at age 5 months; and as mentioned
previously age of weaning is listed as five months, i.e. as in everyone
weans at five months, and "not mothers in the study weaned at five months".
 The translation was very confusing.  I will have to get ahold of the
original article in order to compare fairly.

Also, the author did not draw the conclusion that it is better for women to
breastfeed because the bone density is higher in the end, merely that
calcium fluctuations are normal for breastfeeding mothers.  I gathered from
Prentice's article and from the abstract of the study itself that it IS
better to breastfeed.  This is normal for Israel though, to conclude that
breastfeeding and not breastfeeding are equivalent.
