Hi all
Out of lurkdom to respond to this post.
At our NMAA meeting this morning a member who is IBCLC and midwife told us
what she does in her antenatal classes, if parents comment about the number
of breastfeeds a newborn requires eg. "I couldn't possibly feed more than 5
times a day", or "It would be impossible for a baby to need to feed every
2-3 hours".
She asks them to write down the number of times they have put any food or
drink into their mouths in the previous 24hrs. The responses range from
8 - 32 times! The 'light' invariably clicks on in their minds.
Clever I thought.

Trudi
