I am hoping someone can help me. I have worked with a mom who called me today
looking for suggestions to increase her supply. She is a commited mom who has
nursed 2 other children and is nursing # 3. She has tried Fenugreek, a SNS,
pumping every 2 hours, blessed thistle without much change. She is and has
been since pregnancy,I believe, been taking Zoloft, which her Dr. told her can
interfere with dopamine which is needed to make prolactin. Is domperidone not
available in theUS? Would she be okay to try Reglan without increasing her
symptoms of depression? She has already cut her zoloft dose in half but her
Dr. does not want her to go off of it yet. Dr.Jack's article on Domperidone
makes it sound like she might be a good candidate for it. Would it be
possible? She is willing to do anything. Feel free to email me privately.
Please excuse my typing. Iam typing one handed asI nurse my little one.
P.S. The mice are still alive and seem to be doing okay on Lydia's
breastmilk.
Kathleen, I do not think I can let them be eaten by a snake, either....I
guess I will just keep them for a little while.
Thanks in advance,
Amy Woodcox,Rn,Bsn,IBCLC
