I have been away for a while but I concur with Dr. Jack re Vit K - give IT !!
Re cardiac babies:  as neonatologists and cardiologists we USED TO restrict
fluids on infants at risk of congestive heart failure.  We soon learned it was
cruel to both mothers and infants, and sabotaged breastfeeding.  The humane,
better way is to allow normal breastfeeding and adjust the diuretics as
needed.
