Susan: You may want to discuss "nurse eligibility" with your nurse
manager -- this is in direct contradiction to the International Code of
Marketing of Breast-milk Substitutes.
We've already had many discussions on Lactnet about the hidden costs of
"free formula."
For World Bf Week, maybe you (and your staff??) could calculate the
hidden costs of 'free' formula -- shipping, handling, material cost,
etc. for receiving the stuff, as well as the corrolary for the return
when it is 'exchanged' at whatever outlet (including personal time,
transportation costs, outlet costs for shipping back and/or distributing
to local food banks or warehouses).
Don't forget the bottom line (economics, as well as that of the original
post).
