What if you yourself had had the rabies vaccine after been bitten or
after having saliva from a rabid animal or person in your eye?
Reason I am asking is that many years ago I had this happen to me as
a result of nursing a 21 year man who was dying of rabies. I had to
have the vaccine and after Jacks comments on breastfeeding being ok
even if you had rabies, I am now interested. I know I was not
allowed to donate blood for 18 months after finishing the course.
I should mention that this happened to me in South Africa, not in
Australia, there is no rabies in Australia.
