Can someone out there give me a little advice? I've been trying to study
for the certification exam in July. I am only on the 3rd lesson and have
run into several discrepancies between suggested resource books. For
example; 1 states that "in spite of the energy deficiency of breastfeeding
women, there is a greater weight loss in non-lactators." while the other
text says breastfeeding moms lose more weight in the first 6 months than
bottle feeding moms. Besides wanting to have correct information for the
exam, I'd also like to give consistant information to my clients. How can I
do that when I repeatedly read inconsistancies in the recommended reference
books?
It isn't my intention to start any arguments on Lactnet regarding which
author is right or wrong, but if some of you would e-mail me privately I
would appreciate it. How do you experienced LCs determine which is
correct?TIA.
