Dear Dr. Rob,
When I was bf my sixth child I asked my ped if I could give her
cereal in a plunger-bottle because I didn't have "time" to feed her. He
looked me straight in the eye and said, "Well, yes you could, but frankly I
think that you don't have your priorities straight." I appreciated his
candor and I figured out a way to feed her, and she of course continued to
bf for a long time. There is always enough time for the things on the top
of the list of priorities. My other children sometimes were a problem when
I breastfed but it was never something that couldn't be resolved with some
creative thinking. Reading a book to them, popping in a favorite video,
singing with a tape, coloring books, sitting outside while they played in
the yard, I am sure that they were glad to have a mom that actually sat
down once in a while!!!

PS. If chocolate IS a galactogoge, then the Swiss moms must have the best
milk supplies in the world. I think that the Swiss have the highest per
capita chocolate consumption in the world!!. And with good reason!!!
