There are many many ethnic groups in Mali. The people I described who don't
kiss mouth-to-mouth are the Bambara -- NOT the same ethnic groups as the
ones who like red pepper enemas! Among the ethnic groups in Mali you will
find: Mandinka, Bambara, Senuofo, Songhrai, Bobo, Bozo, Dogon, Humbebe,
Fulani, Moor, and no doubt about 20 others I am forgetting. Most people
speak 5 or 6 different languages, and the cultures are very different. For
example, the Bobo eat puppy stew, which the Bambara think is totally
disgusting -- but they are quite happy to sell their excess puppies to the
Bobo!
