Hello,
I am writing an article on "walking epidurals" for Childbirth Instructor and
wondered if anyone has any information about their effect on the newborn's
ability to initiate breastfeeding. The assumption is that medications
currently used for labor (bupivacaine, ropivacaine, fentanyl, sufentanyl,
clonidine) are in such small doses that effects in cord blood samples are
negligible and newborn behavior assessments tests are withing normal range. I
would appreciate any leads.
Thank You.
