Just tell the mom the vomiting means the baby can't tolerate any formulaes and
that she could only rely upon milk bank breastmilk at $2 an ounce. But
seriously, the nice thing about LLL is that we only have to do breastfeeding
counseling, not formula counseling, so we just do what you did . . . tell them
to ask the doctor. She was asking your professional opinion, right?
