<< A mom I have been working with for some time is very frustrated that her
day care center is throwing her milk away after 48 hours. They gave her a
handout from the USDA on milk storage guidelines for daycare providers that
states milk should be discarded after forty eight hours. So they are
throwing out her milk. This means that she can't leave milk on friday for
monday because they toss it. >>
Don't leave it on Friday. Take it home if it is going to be more than 1 day
or overnight -- in fact, take it home every night just in case, and bring it
in in the morning. The day care center will never know. It isn't any of
their business, and the mom's milk belongs to HER. They have no business
discarding her property without her permission.
Jan - in cold & gloomy Wheaton, IL -- but my Torrey is coming home from Taylor
for spring break which will brighten my day considerably!
