A love for the human race and also a love for the animal kingdom I have
often wondered about something. I have taken care of a varity of baby
animals trying to help them survive without their mothers. Due to reasons
of a mother animal killed, etc. As a result I have had to find answers to
help with their survival. The one statement which always comes up is that
the chance of survival is low if they do not have 24hr. of their mothers
colostrum. Yet there are so many of the human race that survive well
without ever having colostrum. Why is this ? In the animal world animals
are raised on species specific milk. Yet so many of the human race are
given artifical non-species specific milk and
survive .Just a thought. Any comments May be a silly thought but i
sometimes think about this. We are the only living creatures (that I know
of )that gives our babies non species specific milk.
