Hi everyone!
I'm hoping to draw on your expertise to help a mom who is having no luck in
resolving a plugged duct. She had already tried all that I suggested except
for nursing on all fours, but her son is sick as well and just won't cooperate
with that one. She is also in the midst of a second bout with a combined
bacterial/yeast infection in her ducts presumably, which she is taking
antibiotics and started a 3 day course of Dflucan for as well. A little bit of
rash on the one side as well, presumably the yeast as well. The previous
infection also caused blister looking lesions on her nipple as well--none of
these so far.
But her main concern is the plugged duct as it is painful and she can't get
relief. Ice made it feel even worse; wrapped all but the nipple in a hot towel
and nursed, pumped, soaked and nursed in tub--I hope I remembered it all. Any
suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
