Barb,

I've had a mother with the same thing you've described.
In this case, the cause was wearing wet bra pads, even though she changed
them very often.

Other probable causes I came across searching literature were :

* Raynaud's syndrome
* Clamp down bite reflex ('barracuda baby')
* Drinking an awful lot of tea every day.
* Maternal smoking (vasculair).

Hope this helps.

I sure hope you'll be able to solve whatever this might be....

Renate Rietveld,IBCLC.
