Hello to all of you!
I am a LLL leader in Israel, and I eagerly await the Lactnet posts every
day- there is sooo much to learn and this a great place to do it! I have a
question for all of your great minds and/or experience. I searched the
archives with no luck. I have a mom whose 4 month old has been gaining
well, hapy, healthy, no problems till now- it seems that ever since the
mother started taking a multiple B vitamin (to improve her hair) the baby's
bowel movements have been very watery, frequent, and somewhat greenish.
Before that they were every several days, of "average" consistency. The
baby is not in any distress, is alert, laughing, and has no changes in her
behavior. It doesn't seem to be a problem, just concern over the possiblity
of going toward dehydration from so many watery stools. Has anyone heard of
this kind of change with the mom taking B vitamins? She says that the
vitamin has "all of them" made by an American company called "*strerol*"-
By the way we ruled out the possiblity of foremilk-hindmilk imbalance-
Thanks alot! Hoping for a quiet next few weeks with no gas masks!
Jennie
