My thanks to everyone that responded to Gill Rapley's posting on my behalf
about the mum with dislocating hips and the Consultant that advised she should
stop breastfeeding. Thank You Gill. I now await the outcome and hope that
this mother gets the care she deserves. I pooled all your wisdom and informed
the trainee breastfeeding counsellor who came across this young mother. We
have put her in touch with a Physiotherapist who will enable her to contact an
Obstetric Physiotherapist in her area. I have also found a support group for
pelvic disorders relating to childbirth which is based at Ramsgate, Kent, UK.
Kindest regards, Helen M. Woodman, National Childbirth Trust Breastfeeding
Counsellor. UK.
