It is conceivable that some of the antibodies the mother is producing
would pass over to the baby *during pregnancy* and might temporarily
cause hemolysis in the baby. This would be temporary, but may result in
unnecessary delay in breastfeeding, concern, possibly, about jaundice.

The prednisone itself is not a problem. The mother will not pass on
antibodies in her milk. This latter question has come up frequently on
Lactnet in the pass few months. Repeat: *The mother will not pass on
antibodies in her milk*.
