Just wanted to pass on a few negatives I heard in the course of today. I am
taking some nursing classes and in my class today on geriatrics, the prof
mentioned osteoporosis and stated that if you have breastfed any children, you
are at increased risk of developing this. I would be interested in finding
out the particulars of this one. Is this a significant risk? Anyone know for
sure?
Also tonight, while I am sitting here at the computer, Caroline in the City is
on and one of the characters mentioned in jest making a decision between
"bottle and breast". Another character retorted something to the effect of
"choose bottle. My nipples have never been the same..." Seems no matter how
we work, breastfeeding is too often presented as a joke or just a decision.
Think I'll go to their website and respond..... :(
