It is NEVER in the mother's or baby's best interest to lie to her care
provider, even when the issue seems benign.  How can we predict the outcome
of this case?  Surgery is not always an in-&-out, no complications deal. We
can be held in legal jeopardy for giving such advice!  Her surgeon deserves
to know the truth, just the mother needs to make the decision based on
*facts*.  Encouraging her to lie is, in MHO, as bad as his advice!
