I have seen rashes on many, many pp mothers. I've even seen women who
have suffered from hives every month right before their period.
My theory? Stress and maybe a dose of hormones. How come women break
out in acne? Same reason. I used to break out in hives everytime I
had to go to clinic to get my eldest daughter vaccinated!

I recommend topical aloe vera (though not on the nipple/area) which is
very soothing. I know you may disagree with me Jack, but I wouldn't
give nursing moms antihistimines unless other measures failed. Moms are
tired enough as it is without being stoned on antihistimes. By the way,
ever try homeopathic HISTIMINE? No side effects and works well over
time.
