My older daughter, being half Japanese, had very straight hair from birth.
When she reached puberty it began to be curly, much to her consternation.
It has remained with some fullness and body, and on damp days tends to curl.
I attributed the change to her new surge of hormones.
So...we've got "chicken hair" when a baby has allergies, and a weaning
experience that "makes your hair curl." What an amazing species we are!
