All of my babies kneaded the breast, much like a kitten does. In my
observation, and when I thought about it, I figured that they probably pressed
the breast "by mistake" rather than intentionally, got some more milk
(positive reinforcement) and then "learned" to keep on doing this maneuver
(they were quite young, only a few months old when I first observed this
behavior). I figured it was a form of biofeedback!!
