Just wanted to throw in my .02 on this one.

I attended Kiitie's "Colic" presentation at the LLLI Conference in DC
this summer.  She made many references to baby carriers.  She was
clearly referring to the soft fabric ones, including slings, that hold
baby close to mom or dad for heartbeat sounds, warmth, etc...  Kittie
impresses me most for her sensitivity to babies.
