Gary, she wrote the article "Breast-Feeding [sic] Best Bet For Babies"

I give the article there about a 7.5 out of 10;  she does have the old AAP
guidelines there (she should update her articles on the net to reflect current
guidelines).  She is less than knowledgeable about LAM statistics "no
guarantees...use contraceeption even while nursing."  She trots out the road
worn "a nursing mother...should eat a balanced diet" (duh, so should we all;
that's like saying "use unleaded fuel only in your car" is a possible
disadvantage of driving) under her heading Possible Problems..."it affects a
woman's entire lifestyle" (I thought that was a given for becoming a parent)
"nursing mother is physically tied to her baby" but goes on to say that "some
women cite this as one of the joys of nursing".  She does plug LLL.
One thing she says that I have not seen research for is that mothers who
breastfeed and smoke marijuana shold know that "babies become addicted to
these drugs."  ????? Dr. Jack? I've seen other risk factors inherent in
marijuana usage and bf but addiction is a new one to me.

Williams is a freelance writer out of Oak Ridge Tenn.  I don't have her
address, though.
