Hi!

I am mostly a lurker. I will do a quick intro. I have been an LLL Leader for
3+ years now and really enjoy all of the technical stuff here on Lactnet. I
have two children, R.J. is just 6 and Michael is just 2 and we have number 3
due just about anytime now (this baby is coming a year early! LOL)

My question regards a mom I am working with. She has a two year old that she
had difficulty nursing and ended quitting in the hospital. She has very large
breasts which may have contributed to her difficulty in getting baby to latch
on.

She has expressed a desire to nurse this baby (it is due in April) *and* she
has mentioned that she is planning a breast reduction for 3 months post
partum. Sigh. This will probably be her last child anyway so I am not so
concerned about future children as I am about this baby. Is there anyway the
procedure can be done without damaging the nipple and milk ducts?

I am going off to search the archives as well. If you have any info I would
appreciate hearing from you, along with permission to share it with her. She
is not online but I would like to be able to share this info with her.

Thank you!
