Thanks to all who responded with information about the adoptive mom to be.
I am acting as a conduit for information and have received a follow up
question. Again it is outside my experience as I have only seen/recommended
the use of domperidone for mothers after birth/receiving the infant. The
recommendations I have on hand all assume the same. Opinions gratefully
received. ps. for those curious motillium = domperidone
>Thanks so much for all the posts on supplementing the adoptive newborn.
>Fascinating, isn't it?!?!?!? The mom has another question: The mother IS
>aware that milk production is a side-effect of Motillium and has read the
>current info being handed out by BF promoters and its use. She has heard,
>and so I have I, that it should be taken early on to be most effective and
>that if it has no effect after a certain elapsed time, one should
>discontinue it. So here is her next question:
>

>Anyway, the mom says there is this new drug "Motiliam" that she's going to
>see about and after reading the info on it she got she needs to know this:
>
>When abouts should she begin to take it? With the pumping effort or when
>the baby comes?
