Norfloxacin is *not* contraindicated during breastfeeding. Apparently
almost none gets into the milk. Furthermore, oral bioavailability is
relatively low.
If the mother stopped, she should restart, immediately.
If the physician thought norfloxacin is contraindicated, why did he
not prescribe amoxycillin or contrimoxazole (Septra) for the UTI?
