It's easier!  Suckling at the breast is work and requires more energy and
effort.  Once a baby has learned how not to choke on a bottle's contents by
using his tongue to control the flow, it's very easy to just wait there
passively for the stuff to go down.  There's no waiting for a let-down and
only the tiniest amount of effort involved.

Of course this is another example of the truism that things that come too
easily are rarely worthwhile........
