Katie said "Oh, surely she won't be able to breastfeed those babies! Am I right in asuming she won't be able to breastfeed?!"
Along with the response he/she gave, I wish the doctor had also answered
with a little bit of flipness or asperity or both, for instance...
"Well not at the same time, but ..."

That dang Katie Couric is at it again. She has never been a supporter of
natural birth or breastfeeding on her show, and her casual comments hold a
great deal of influence with the American public because she is such a
well-know and respected young woman.
Anyway, today on the show they were doing an update on the 7 babies, the
icons they used were seven Baby Bottles, numbered from 1-7 in pink or blue,
representing each baby. During an interview with the perinatologist, the
doctor stated that in a few days the babies would be ready to receive a
mixture of breastmilk and premature baby formula. and the doctor replied that the mom was
fully intending to pump her milk and whatever amounts she produced would be
distributed amoung the babies.
Take that, Katie.
I know the NBC address is floating around somewhere...
