I would suggest addressing in some way other drugs used with regularity in the
post-partum period, which physicians have misconceptions about compatibility
with nursing.  I know you can't possibly cover this in any detail, but I can
think of SO many times that women in my experience were told to quit nursing
because of various drugs, including antibiotics, when ultimately it wasn't
necessary.  If you could either hand out a list of various medications and use
during lactation, or somehow present resources for physicians to use, such as
a lactation consultant, reference book, or other resource person, I believe
that would be helpful.  I think if you could only stress the importance of
getting information from the right source PRIOR to telling a woman to quit
breastfeeding (when possible), that would be very valuable.  Good luck with
