Congratulations, Darlene, on your new grandchild! And Julia Mae, what a
cute name! Maybe she will grow up to be an LC like her grandmother. She
probably won't believe us when we tell her that our services weren't third
party reimbursable and that mothers had to rent their own pumps for going
back to work, instead of having them on site. She'll be amazed that we were
only aiming for 75% breastfeeding in the year 2000 and that we didn't even
make that. Won't it be fun to astound her with stories of what
breastfeeding in the late 20th century was like? Hopefully, the reality of
her generation will be so far improved that Julia Mae will think we must be
exaggerating, silly old ladies.
