Crisco is an ingrediant used in cooking, its very thick and greasy,
sometimes it is called lard. It has a very high fat content.

Cindy,Actually Crisco is not lard which is rendered from animal fat. Crisco
was one of the first products made from cottenseed oil, so it is vegetable,
not animal in origin. It is like a solid cooking oil, and can be used as
such.

Joy (who hasn't had a can of Crisco in my home since I was a child, thank God)
